Easy
methods to nourish your hair
1)
Raw Eggs Did you know that raw eggs can be used as part of your beauty
routine and not just on your face? You can also use them in your hair for
conditioning and adding shine. Here are two recipes that you can use before you
shampoo or after. The choice is yours.
These conditioners you use before shampooing... First of all an egg
yolk makes a great conditioner for your hair. Simply mix it with 2 tsps of
castor oil and massage into your hair. Rinse thoroughly. You can also mix an egg
yolk with 1/4 cup of yogurt, and a little lemon rind. Again work it gently into
your hair and then rinse thoroughly.
These conditioners you use after shampooing... Beat a couple of egg yolks
with a tablespoon or two of water depending on the length of your hair and then
rinse after 15 minutes. If you use a whole egg whisked with a little lemon juice
and condition your hair with this concoction, it will add shine also.
2) Yogurt Conditioner for Dry and Flyaway Hair Whisk together 4 tablespoons
of natural, unflavoured yogurt and 1 egg. Apply after shampoo and massage
thoroughly into the hair, leaving it on for at least 5 minutes. Rinse out
thoroughly with plenty of lukewarm water (not too hot, or you'll end up with
cooked egg in your hair!)
3) Hot Oil Treatment for Damaged Hair This is to be used before shampooing,
once a week. Simply warm a little olive or coconut oil and apply to the scalp;
work well through the hair to the tips. Wrap head in a warm damp towel (dip it
in hot water and wring out) and then in a large shower cap to prevent loss of
heat. If the towel cools down, reheat it. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then
shampoo well.
