Ludhiana Improvement Trust was established
in 1958 under the Punjab Town Improvement Act 1922. Trust has served the
Ludhiana City by Planning 29 Residential/Commercial Schemes surrounding
the city. Trust has acquired about 3000 Acres land for development of
various schemes. Uptill now 35000 Residential plots/commercial plots has
been allotted to the various categories of the society. Out of 29 schemes
Trust has already transferred 23 schemes of various sizes to Municipal
Corporation Ludhiana U/S 55 of the PTI Act 1922 (Copy attached). Apart
from above development schemes Trust has constructed 3200 Flats for HIG/MIG/LIG/EWS
categories. Trust has allotted Institution sites such as School sites,
Hospital Sites, Religious sites, Community Centre sites etc. to 65
different institutions.
